im looking at buying a 1973 dodge dart swinger with a 225 slant 6...but i found a 318 with carb, exhaust, and wire harness with a 727 transmission and a 208np transfer case that i want to throw in. what do i need besides the engine and tranny to make this happen?|||you don't need a transfer case in a dart ,you,ll need a regular transmission for it other wise its a do-able project, you wil need a k-frame from a v-8 model dart though and the suspension for it,it makes the swap a lot easier to do,been there and done it before, got a duster that use to be a slant six,it now has 360 with a 727 in it,good luck.|||v8 engine mounts.? lots of rooms, have fun.... did a mustangs 5.0 swapped..|||This is what you need for a v-8 swap
wire harness, radiator and hoses, fuel lines, suspension, k-frame, trans, trans mount cross member, drive shaft.
And I would get a disc brake kit up front, and a booster kit
why would you put a transfer case in a car, transfer case is for a 4x4 truck and if you are getting a 727 that is hooked to a transfer case, it wont work in a car, the output shaft is different, and if you have a 727 for a car it will be hard to fit. Besides a baby 904 with a shift kit and extra clutch pack kit is the hot ticket
Good Luck
