Question about Dodge and Mopar

Does anyone know if I can buy Mopar oil direct from my dealer? I want to change the oil myself, but I prefer to use Mopar products and they are not sold in stores.Question about Dodge and Mopar
you can buy it from a dealer or have a parts store order it for you, they can order it and still save you money on it,i keep a case of it around because some of my customers want to use only mopar brand.if you buy it from a dealer its really high, try through advance to get them to order you some,if you ask at the dealer sometimes they will offer a discount on it if you buy it by the case, and it doesn't take long to go through a case of it,good luck.
A major oil company made the oil for Mopar, as I remember it was Ashland oil company, who also makes Vavoline, when I worked for a dealer in 1999. My local Walmart has two styles of Mopar oil filters in stock one for the cummings pickups and the other fits my 01 Dakota V6. they sell for 11.99 and 5.99 compaired to 28.99 and 10.99 from the local dealer. I have been using Castrol syntec in both of my Dodges for several years, I have had no oil related issues.Question about Dodge and Mopar
It's basically this rule of thumb as long as the oil you buy is the right grade etc and is has been approved for it's puropse it's fine to use it but never ever mix different brands of oil.

Please don't be fooled by such products that dealerships use bec they only use such products bec they made a long term deal with the oil supplier companies to use their product and in return they get it cheaper and the oil suppliers get free constant advertising from the vehicle manufacture. Try not to buy such supplies from the dealerships bec they it's outragously priced usaully , plus buy a reliable at least mid quality oil filter and buy the big 5 litre containers of oil to do your oil changes bec that is good enough for most vehicles for a oil change job if you look around you can buy them for about 12 bucks all in all.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way even the ppl that are making the engines made such deals with the big oil suppliers.
well you can, but what many people dont know, is that mopar brand motor oil,is just a rebadged commercially availible oil. the only time "changing up" is bad is if your going from a base oil,to a synthetic, and thats only in some cases, particularly in an older vehicle built prior to 95-97.as long as the oil you select is the correct grade ( i.e 10w30/5w30 etc ) itd be fine.just as with a oil filter. it doesnt matter if its fram, purolater,or k%26amp;n. it was designed to fill the requirements by that vehicleQuestion about Dodge and Mopar
Yes, the dealer's parts department will be happy to take your money.
I doubt mopar oil is anywhere near as good as mobil 1 why would you want mopar oil?
