How do I tell a Mopar 383 from a 360?

Are there any distinguishing characteristics that separate a Mopar 383 from a 360 that don't require copying the numbers or taking the engine apart?|||The 383 has the distributor in the front by the pulleys. The 360 has the distributor in the back. The 383 is in the "big block" family of motors and all big blocks have the dist. in front. The 360 is a "small block" motor and they have the dist. in back.
