What type of oil filter do you use for 2007 jeep commander besides mopar?

went to walmart and bought an oilfilter for 07 jeep commander. did not fit in the suv. dealer said it only uses mopar. i know they r lying. what filter do u use? where should i buy it? i live in edmonton canada|||The 2007 model uses the same style filter that chrysler has been using for almost 15 years now. The only difference is if you have the V6 then it is a longer skinnier filter, but the thread and the gasket area is all the same. You should go back to walmart and try again. If you can't find the right one try going back a year or look it up for a Grand cherokee of the same year or older with the same engine.

They did change to a metric thread starting with the 2008 model year on anything but the V6.|||Fram - get them anywhere oil filters are sold.|||Mobile1 are the best out. I use them in all of my vehicles. Cost a little more, but well worth it.|||Fram is a well advertized brand but I stay away from them.

Mopar or Mobil are two good ones

If you have NAPPA auto parts in Canada,,they make really good ones.

Good oil filters can put a lot more miles on your vehicle.|||look it up on kragen for the size. When they say they use mopar, they mean that the dealer uses mopar parts for all Jeep, dodge, and chrysler vehicles. It's perfectly ok to use other brands, but it's recommended to use mopar. I tend to use AC Delco. Anything but Fram. Stay away from FRAM!
